More than 300 Water For People supporters gathered at the renowned Howlin' Wolf in New Orleans after the first day of WEFTEC.10 to support us and listen to the legendary Rebirth Brass Band. The Bash raised over $48,000 dollars and showed the tremendous support from the Water Environment Federation community.
Water For People would like to thank our sponsors AECOM; CDM; CH2M HILL; HDR; The Water Planet Company; Weston Solutions; HNTB; Bob and Janet Adamski; Infilco Degremont; Inc.; N-Y Associates, Inc.; Royal Engineering; Water Environmental Association of Texas; NOCCI and the Howlin’ Wolf.
“I am elated by these results, especially with the first-hand understanding of how far this money will go in the capable hands of the Water For People global team,” said Jon Kardon, Big Easy Bash co-chair. “Hopefully we raised a few new friends for Water For People at the same time we were raising funds.”
Further proving that support at WEFTEC was tremendous, John Hoffman, President of Alloway, generously offered to donate $1 to Water For People for every person who visited the Alloway booth. At the end of the conference, Hoffman presented a check of $1,145.
What do you think?
