Water Update from Washington D.C.

Funding for the Senator Paul Simon Water for the Poor Act of2005 is at risk of being cut. Enactment of this law has helped millions of people gain access to safe water and sanitation through diplomatic and programmatic efforts. Although Water For People does not currently receive funding from the US government for our programs, we feel it is important to inform you of this situation.
If you’d like to take action, you can write your member of Congress and ask them to continue to fund the Senator Paul Simon Water for the Poor Act (P.L. 109-121) at its current level of $315 million.
On our end, we’ll continue our robust efforts to push for change in the water sector, including with our partners in the U.S. Government, to ensure greater sustainability, ongoing monitoring and evaluation, and solutions that will last into the future.
What do you think?

Without water, there cannot be life. The right to clean, potable water is one of the most important things out there.
Although, I am not an American citizen who do not have right to pressurise Senator of U S Parliament, mu full support to your endeavor and hard work to provide water and sanitation facilities in developing world. At same time, your highly reputed organization has no any project on funding in Nepal as far as know. If you are in position to support technically and financially i am also very interested to support you in this regard. Rural hills and mountain communities are facing scarcity of water and even more sanitation facilities e. g. House hold toilet and in the schools. I have been involved in Rural Water Supply and sanitation run by various INGOs/NGOs and Government of Nepal since 30 years. Thus, I would like to request you humbly to seek possibilities support in Nepal, too. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanking you very much. With best regards. Sincerely yous. What could be a better use of funds than to support The Water For Poor Act of 2005? Clean water is one of the most basic needs of all people, regardless of age or nationality.
With the changing climate, the hoarding of water rights by corporations, and the inequitable distribution of resources in the world, this proactive and protective of basic human rights.
Water is crucial for all living things. The consequences of not having access to potable water are dire. The Senator Paul Simon Water for the Poor Act should be adequately funded.
I think it is a good idea.
Clean water is essential to life.
