A World Water Corps Volunteer’s Story

Lisa Wesoloski wanted to volunteer, location to-be-determined. Then her employer, Nalco Company, introduced her to Water For People’s World Water Corps volunteer program.
“I completely jumped on it,” said Lisa.
As a World Water Corps volunteer, Lisa traveled to Bolivia and visited households, schools, and community water systems. To report on the progress Water For People was making toward reaching Everyone in the areas it serves, she interviewed community members and leaders about the functionality and management of water systems and sanitation facilities. She’s already planning a second stint.
“Water For People is very different. They are focused on helping people take control and ownership of their own access to water, to have better hygiene and good sanitation. My experience made me realize how important this mission is.”
