Come grab your race bib at our table inside Omega Sports. Extra-T-shirts will also be sold for $15/each.\n\nRACE DAY: Saturday\, April 29th – Park Road Park\, 6220 Park Road\, Charlotte\, NC 28210 \n\n8:00 am – Day-of registration opens for those not yet registered. Packets (race bibs) can also be picked up if you missed Friday’s Packet Pick-Up Event.\n8:30 am – Day-of registration closes.\n9:00 am – Race starts!\n9:30 am – Race awards for fastest male and female in each age bracket are announced.\n10:00 am – Raffle for Door Prizes Donated by local businesses begins.\n\n  \n\nPARKING: The map below show’s the race start/finish line and the nearest parking lots. Volunteers will be stationed at the entrances to the park directing traffic.\nBATHROOMS: there are bathrooms facilities near the start/finish line.\nDAY-OF REGISTRATION: will be located near the bathrooms.\nMEDIC: Volunteer firefighters will be on site to address minor medical issues should they occur during the race.\nFOOD & WATER: snacks and bottled water will be provided to race participants.\n\n  \n \n\n\n\n\n\nCHARLOTTE 5K COURSE MAP\n\nThis is an out and back race – starting near the western softball fields parking lot in Park Road Park. Participants will run/walk south along the Little Sugar Creek Greenway trail to the halfway point\, then turn around and finish at the original start line. \n  \n \n\n\n\n\n\nAWARDS AND DOOR PRIZES\n\nJoin your fellow philanthropists\, water lovers\, and athletic and community minded neighbors (socially distanced of course)\, for a fun run and a good cause. The fastest male and female runners in each age bracket will receive a gift card to Omega Sports and the overall male and female winners will get an additional gift card. The biggest team and fastest team will compete for bragging rights like in years past\, and will each receive a plaque to hang in their office. Following the race\, all participants are invited to stick around for a chance to win a raffle prize donated from a local business! \n\n\n\n\n\nTOGETHER WE CAN DO MORE – JOIN A TEAM\n\nThe largest team to participate in the race will be awarded one year of hanging rights of the Water For People 5K Trophy.  Create or join an existing group.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on our next Impact Experience in Honduras from April 22-28! \nWhen you’re not walking miles each day to secure your family’s water or worrying that the water you’re drinking is contaminated in a way that will make those you love sick\, it can be hard to truly comprehend the impact of clean water and sanitation. The communities where Water For People partners are passionate about sharing what these sorts of changes have done for their schools\, their homes\, and\, most importantly\, their lives. \nWhen you participate\, you’ll come away with a deeper understanding of the work our teams do on a local and national level\, what sustainable infrastructure can look like\, how communities build for their needs and the importance of solving the global water crisis once and for all. \nIf you’d like to join a group of like-minded supporters as we experience this work firsthand in Honduras from April 22-28\, reach out to Julia Correia for more information.
