SUMMARY:2024 DC Water For People Fall Hike
DESCRIPTION:The Washington\, DC Water For People Committee is hosting our annual hike fundraiser on Sunday\, October 27\, 2024! We’ll once again be returning to Rock Creek Park in Washington\, DC\, for a rolling (no more than) 5 mile hike in the woods – that’s shorter than the average woman walks daily to get to a water source. \nWe’ll be starting at Rock Creek Park Picnic Area 13. Please enter that into your GPS or mapping tool (the map in Eventbrite is showing an incorrect location). Directions\, along with other day of information\, will be emailed to everyone who signs up. \nSign-in starts at 9:30 am. We will have coffee and snacks beforehand. The hike will begin around 10:00 am. We will have trivia checkpoints along the way so you don’t get lost\, and also for a chance to win fun prizes. Afterwards\, there will be lunch and a random prize drawing. Leashed dogs are welcome. The event is rain or shine or wildfire smoke. Sorry no refunds. \nRegister by September 30th to get a discount.
