Water For People Announces New Addition To Leadership Team in Denver07 Apr 2016
DENVER, April 07, 2016 – Water For People, a global non-profit working to provide access to improved water and sanitation systems and services in nine developing countries, is pleased to welcome Patrick Hayes as its Chief Development Officer.
“Patrick’s expertise and depth of knowledge in both fundraising and international development will help lead Water For People to new levels,” said Eleanor Allen, CEO of Water For People. “We are thrilled to have found someone with Patrick’s caliber who is passionate about Water For People’s mission to end water poverty.”
Patrick has raised funds for local, national and international organizations. He has built resource development operations from the ground up, and led established organizations to even greater success. Recently, he completed a fellowship working in Zimbabwe for the cause of female education, and leveraging micro-finance opportunities in Cambodia to expand sanitation and hygiene resources to the rural poor.
“I have seen first-hand the transformational impact that access to clean water and sanitation has in the lives of families in developing countries,” Hayes said. “I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity at Water For People to combine my professional experience with such a deeply-held person conviction.”
Patrick earned his undergraduate degree in journalism, and holds a master’s degree in environmental policy & management. In his role as Chief Development Officer, he will develop, execute and oversee strategies to secure the financial resources needed to reach Water For People’s ambitious goal of ending water poverty across the world.
