We Can End the Walk for Water
It starts when they are four, sometimes younger, joining the older girls and women who walk miles each day to bring clean water to their families. From there, every aspect of a young girl’s life – schooling, physical safety, health, economic opportunity, safe childbirth – is impacted by the lack of access to safe water and sanitation.
Water For People created the World Water Classic to bring attention to the walks women and girls do each day to get water – and to invite people to help change this reality.
2025 World Water Classic by the Numbers
We had 307 participants in 2025, and through their participation, fundraising, and donations, more than $28,000 was raised to end the walk for water. Plus, through sponsorships and company matches, an additional $26,500 was contributed to Water For People, bringing the Classic's total impact to $54,500! Thank you.
